This means my heater hoses are now inverted, causing a backwards flow, and inverted pressures inside the heater core.Īfter reading up on the importance of having the hoses routed correctly for the heater core to work, and not see excessive pressure, I am actively seeking a simple/easy fix. I ran those hoses to the corresponding sized heater core ports. I bad-mouthed and called the thing everything I could think of, except a child of God!!! This left me with no other option, but to put a 3/4" hose fitting on my intake. Really had to hold my mouth just right, and say the right combination of cuss words. And that was a complete pain in the ass to even get the 5/8" hose to fit and hose clamp on. The brackets on the serpentine system get in the way of installing anything larger than a 5/8" heater hose fitting.
